I’m the team’s fundraising coordinator. I find the grants and apply for money like some inversed entrepreneur. I first got involved with the project after spending a January at Auntie Na’s house with a team of other Oberlin students. We put a lot of hard work into cleaning and improving the physical space of her community center. My project then was to clean out the dusty basement (filled with junk stored for twenty years) and made it into a cozy speakeasy for the adults to lounge in while the kids play. Unfortunately much of that work burned in a fire not long after. Outside of ANHU, I’m the editor-in-chief at the Grape, a philosophy major, and mean mint-julep mixer.
