She is the Founder of PRIA Global Inc. which offers strategic solutions for the built environment, and a global collaborative, formed to develop solutions for economic and physical infrastructure development, driving social change.
She previously served as the Chief Architect at NYCT leading the architectural design of an unprecedented surge of new projects for MTA-NYCT in the aftermath of 9-11. Her additional public sector experience is at NYCDDC as the Program Director managing a $1B+ annual portfolio at NYCDDC and as Design Architect as NYC Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Heavy Construction.
In the private sector she served as the Business Vice President establishing the international company’s New York business and Senior Associate of a regional company expanding its NYC client base, and worked internationally as the Executive Director of Asian University for Women Foundation and as Consultant to the Ministry of Railway, India and Infrastructure Committee of the Congress in Colombia.
Porie Saikia-Eapen teaches as Guest Lecturer at the Real Estate and Construction Institute in Finland, University of Navarra in Spain, NYU Polytechnic and CCNY in New York.
She sits on various construction industry boards and committees locally and worldwide at NY Building Foundation, IDCM/Asia, CIOB/Americas, TOL Prof Development/Middle East, and is a women’s advocate at the construction Industry both nationally and internationally with active participation at WTS/Women in Transportation, BWAF/Women in Architecture, UN/ITC/Women Vendors Forum, Global Female Leaders Group, and currently chairs the NY Building Congress Women Organizations Council.
