Nancy Nguyen is Associate Director at the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation. She manages the BWAF office, and assists with programs, events, funding and development, and communications.

Over the past year, Nancy has focused on developing a new venture called Built By Women New York City (BxW NYC), which will identify 100 outstanding structures and sites in NYC, built by women. Over the next year, walking tours, interactive maps, and other educational materials will be developed to highlight women’s contributions to the built environment. Nancy is also the project manager of the National Endowment for the Arts funded project, Women of 20th-Century American Architecture, preserving the legacies of 50 historically significant women—architects, designers, critics, curators and policymakers.

Nancy’s previous experience in the non-profit realm includes Goodwill Industries of the Redwood Empire in Santa Rosa, CA, developing Goodwill’s “eBooks” program, utilizing various online marketplaces to sell donated books throughout northern California. Nancy also worked at Sonoma State University’s Academic Talent Search, working with disadvantaged middle and high school students to foster self-esteem, curiosity, and cooperative team building, helping students prepare for college by developing strong academic skills and equipping them with resources.

Nancy is an alumna of Oberlin College.
