November 10th is the fall application deadline for a pair of excellent grant funding resources.

Flint Initiative Grants (FIGs)

Flint Initiative Grants (FIGs) provide innovative, motivated, and prepared Conservatory and Double-Degree students opportunities to develop imaginative artistic projects to be implemented during winter term. Individual or group projects will be awarded grants of up to $4,000.

Applicants are encouraged to prepare for the application process and the challenges of implementing funded projects by taking advantage of workshops, courses, and advising through the Creativity & Leadership and the Conservatory Professional Development Offices. Applicants are encouraged to review their proposals prior to submission with any Creativity and Leadership staff and with the Director of Professional Development.

XARTS

The XARTS Fund supports the development and execution of collaborative, multi-disciplinary, artistic projects to be implemented during winter term by students in both the College of Arts & Sciences and the Conservatory of Music. Individual or group projects that demonstrate creative and focused cross-disciplinary endeavors will be awarded grants of up to $4,000.

Applicants are encouraged to prepare for the application process and the challenges of implementing funded projects by taking advantage of workshops, courses, and advising through the Creativity & Leadership and the Conservatory Professional Development Offices. Applicants are encouraged to review their proposals prior to submission with the Conservatory Director of Professional Development.
