Annika Hansteen Izora is a third year at Oberlin College pursuing a major in Sociology and a minor in Africana Studies and Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies. She is one of the co-presidents of OSlam, and has been collecting poems and pebbles in her pockets for 20 years. She is a Brown girl with a loud mouth, and believes in the power of the word. She spends her time thinking about the ocean, making tea, and using her voice as a weapon against forces that attempt to silence Black and Brown womyn. She is the believer in shaking palms, and open hearts.
